Ngamotu is one of New Zealand's golfing jewels.

Established almost a century ago on the outskirts of Taranaki's main centre of New Plymouth, it is a classic par-72 layout and a superb golf challenge. It has been the venue of four New Zealand Open championships and numerous national and provincial amateur events.

With beautiful scenery throughout the modern course, water featuring on five holes and large & contoured greens it is a true test and a beauty to play.

An easy course of 4763m with views of Mount Egmont, Tasman Sea and the Cape Egmont Lighthouse, part of the course winds around a historic Pa site and a few lahars complete the picture, Par 68 for men and 71 for the ladies.Bring a Picnic and relax.

Manaia Golf Club is situated 15kms west of Hawera along Surf Highway 45 on the southern boundary of the Manaia Township. Located in the heart of prime dairy land with great Mountain views, this 18 hole easy walking Men’s 5469m par 71 and ladies 4871m par 72 course offers golfers an interesting and pleasant challenge. The Manaia Redoubt and an historic Maori Pa are located within the golf course along with a walkway which meanders through the course and along the banks of the Waiokura Stream.

We are approximately three kilometres north of Opunake up the Namu Road. Our course is an eighteen hole course with sheep grazing the fairways. It is tree lined with sea and mountain views and is reasonably flat with the occasional lahar mound thrown in for interest. Mens and ladies par is 71 with the mens course 5309 meters and ladies 4809 meters.

The best kept secret in golf’ and “the jewel in the west” are but two of the many compliments extended to the Te Ngutu Golf Club and its course by visitors from all around New Zealand. With the foresight of a group of local residents in 1932, the foundation for the Te Ngutu Golf Club was formed and within 2 months boasted an initial closed membership of 60 keen golfers. The course was developed over the years on its present site and with the purchase of some additional neighbouring land, as well as developing new greens and tees, the course was established in its current 18 hole layout being par 71 and 5487 metres in length with an NZSCR of 69.2 and a Slope Index of 119 off the men’s tees, whilst the women have a par of 72, measuring 5083 metres in length, with an NZSCR of 73.6 and a slope index of 126. Although a relatively short course Te Ngutu has many challenges for both beginners and experts alike, with its greens ranking amongst the best in New Zealand. With groomed fairways and strategically placed trees and bunkers, golfers are assured of not only a challenge but also a very pleasant outing on a picturesque part of the South Taranaki rural scene

Patea Links are a bunkerless course with sheep grazed/mowed fairways and well-maintained greens. A gentle, undulating, easy walking 5627 mtrs (Men) and 4790 mtrs (Ladies) par 73 course, presents a challenge to all levels of golf. The course is located just off State Highway 3 in the centre of Patea township 20 minutes drive from Hawera and 45 minutes drive from Wanganui.

Urenui Golf Club is a nine-hole course with alternative greens and tees to allow an eighteen-hole game. We are located on the coast with some greens and tees backing onto the beach. Bordering the course is the Urenui Beach motor camp that offers visitors a stay over option. We are located 30 Km east of New Plymouth just off State Highway 3. The course is 5284 meters for eighteen holes men, ladies 4792 meters. It is a flat easy walking with pohutukawa tree lined fairways with mountain and sea views that offer a scenic but challenging round.

Course Features: Waverley Golf Club is situated only 5 minutes from the Waverley township or 30 minutes from Wanganui or Hawera. It is a challenging, undulating course. The club is small but very social and visitors are welcome at anytime. Great views of all mountains on a clear day make for a special outing. Clubhouse: Clubhouse is open when members are in attendance. Catering available by prior arrangement. Bar open on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Changing facilities available and caravan club members are welcome to use facilities for a small donation
